YA Life Groups
YA Life Groups are the heart of our Young Adults community. Meeting in smaller groups fortnightly throughout the year, these gatherings create space for meaningful friendships, honest conversations, and spiritual growth.
Together we engage with Scripture, pray, encourage one another, and learn what it looks like to follow Jesus in everyday life. Life Groups are a place to belong, be known, and take your next steps in faith alongside others in a similar season of life.
When: Fortnightly throughout the year
Location: Various YA homes
YA Events
YA Events bring young adults together each month for community, connection, and opportunities to grow in faith.
On the first Sunday of most months, we gather for worship, teaching, prayer, and conversations around topics relevant to young adults and everyday life. Throughout the year, we also host social events such as bowling nights, board games, shared meals, and other activities that create space to build friendships and have fun together.
Whether you're new to Hope Valley or already connected, YA Events are a great way to meet people and become part of the community.
When: First Sunday of each month (excluding January)
Time: 7:00–9:00pm

Theology & Tea + Bible & BBQ
Theology & Tea (for women) and Bible & BBQ (for men) are informal spaces for young adults who want to go deeper in their faith and understanding of Scripture.
Held on the third Sunday of each month, these gatherings invite participants to wrestle with meaningful questions, explore theological topics, and engage thoughtfully with Christianity in a welcoming and conversational environment. Whether you're curious, confident, or somewhere in between, there's a seat for you at the table.
When: Third Sunday of each month
Time: 7:00–9:00pm

Who: Ages 18–29
YA Retreat
YA Retreat is an annual weekend designed to help young adults slow down, connect deeply, and be encouraged in their faith.
Held during the October term break, the retreat combines worship, teaching, electives, community, and plenty of time to relax and enjoy life together. Whether it's conversations around the campfire, time on the river, shared meals, or moments with God, YA Retreat is an opportunity to step away from the busyness of life and return refreshed, restored, and encouraged.
When: October Term Break

Join a Team
For many young adults, joining a team is one of the easiest and most meaningful ways to build friendships, grow in faith, and connect with people across different generations. Serving is about more than filling a role—it's about being part of a community and contributing to what God is doing through the life of the church.
There are opportunities to serve in a variety of areas, including Kids, Youth, Worship, Production, Hospitality, Guest Services, and more. Whether you're welcoming people at the door, investing in the next generation, helping behind the scenes, or using your gifts on a ministry team, there's a place for you to contribute and belong!
